sunny (not) brisbane

well it's monday afternoon and i can't believe how the last few days have flown. i had a great time up in brisbane with H. he is one of my favourite people and we just get along so well. i am going to miss him a lot. that was my first goodbye of quite a few for the next few weeks and probably the hardest. but i did well. thanks to the weather (definitely not beautiful one day, perfect the next) - it rained pretty much the whole time - i caught up on a few movies, did some shopping, including buying another jodie piccoult book 'Faith', saw a few more movies, and did lots of eating! if i'd goen for the weather i would have been bitterly disappointed, but i didn't. so i had a wonderful time. we did make it to movie world on sunday, but with the light rain in the morning, not many others were there, so we walked straight on to all the rides and within 3 hours, and the rain increasing, we were done. the only disappointing thing was that the superman ride was closed! DOH! oh well. i was lucky to make it home, my flight was due to leave the gold coast airport at 8.25pm and when i got there to check in, the one to sydney which was due o leave at 8 had been cancelled. thank goodness mine wasn't. if it had been, all they do is put you on the next first available flight, which at best would have been 8am this morning, and you have to find your own overnight accomodation. and wheni got back to melbourne i overheard someone saying that virgin had cancelled all of their flights from the gold coast that night due to the weather. it was raining a lot by last night, but i didn't think it was that bad. anyway, i got home safe and sound, but feeling bad for those people who were supposed to be flying to sydney!

today was nice to see my little cherubs again. and my school friends too.

i am actually quite tired. probably not that much of a surprise seeing as by the time we got home last night it was quarter to 1 (yes, am). my brain is fried, i can't seem to concentrate anymore, so i will end this for today and maybe write something deep and meaningful tomorrow, then again...
