been a bit busy

so i haven't blogged for a little while. apologies to my faithful readers. things have been quite busy. between work, wedding plans and trying to exercise there's not too much spare time in the week, hence no groceries in my house..must find time to go shopping.

i've had more great news this week. two of my friends are pregnant. for the time being they shall remain nameless. though kylie (from work) annouced hers on facebook, so i think it's ok to mention her name. the other will be a mystery for now...but great news for them both!

after last week mentioning about one of my newest friends from the neighbourhood, i was maddened and saddened by an incident that matt witnessed this week. matt was walking down the road and saw three men being very rough with my new friend, whom he also knows. it took him a while to get close enough to realise they were undercover cops. to cut a long story short, it looks like they busted her for drinking on the street. last matt saw she was cuffed and in the back of the car. i'm not sure what happens now, i haven't seen her since that day. i guess it depends on a few different factors.

i'm reading the alchemist at the moment. i'm finding it not that exciting...yet. i am hoping it's going to get better. i've heard numerous people say it's a good book. we'll see. but it has got a message across so far about dreams. living them and waiting to see them fulfilled. about the choices we make and roads we take. i hope my new friend can make some good decisions and get a few breaks this week.
