THE CAT EMPIRE
last night i went and saw a melbourne band - the cat empire. they were SO FANTASTIC!!! i love them.
their music is really great, lots of fun. i went with mike and esther. and some other of mike's friends. i was proud to be australian and even more proud to be from melbourne! my hometown boys.
the only slighty disapointing part was that they didn't bring their regular brass section. my friend ross plays with them, so it would have been good to see him. and i think kieran (who went to school with my brother and ross) also still plays for them. anyway. they were brilliant. their skill was mezmorising. (is that how you spell it?).
after they played, michael franti and spearhead were on. they were no way near as great as the cat empire. but they were ok. actually, some of their songs were pretty good and they had a great guitar and bass player.
well guys, only 4 sleep still my birthday.
